Grading and Authentication
Grading is an important factor in determining the value of an item, whether it is a card, coin or comic book. Not all items we sell are graded but having that information will allow you to make a more comfortable buying decision. A graded 4 rookie card is going to have a different value than a 9, so knowing this information will allow you to be armed when buying or making a bid. We work very closely with GreatCanadianGrading.com (make the url a hyperlink to the site please.) and if you are looking to sell, or have just bought and want to preserve your card the team there will be happy to help. When it comes to autograph authentication, there are of course the 2 main companies of Beckett and JSA, and for most having their Certificate of Authenticity or COA as it is often called ensures the item is real and beyond reproach. There are of course other such companies with solid reputations like Frozen Pond, and for any of these companies you will be seeing items go for top dollars. We sell these items, as well as ones from smaller authentication companies, the quality of the authentication company will often determine the price it sells for. As an example a Kurt Cobain signed picture from Beckett might sell for $5,000+, however with a lower quality authentication company it might sell for $150.
